What is the difference between Marriage coaching and counselling?
Coaching is a creative, thought-provoking process whereby the coach partners with the coachee to inspire them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Counselling is a therapy that delves into past trauma, substance abuse etc.
Can coaching replace therapy?
No. Coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed. Coaching also does not prevent or cure mental disease or illness.
How many sessions are there in total?
The usual coaching sessions are six, though this can be modified based on the coachee’s needs.
What happens if the coachee terminates... ?
The coachee can terminate the coaching process at any time based on the terms outlined in the Coaching Agreement.
Is the coaching process confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is upheld throughout the coaching process. The coach is governed by the ICF code of ethics and the Coaching Agreement, which is signed at the start of the coaching process by both the coach and the coachee.
Are the coaching sessions Virtual or in person?
The coaching sessions are offered Virtually or in person based on the coachee’s preference.
